Dr. Allison Kurian’s new study about gaps in genetic testing for breast and ovarian cancers was published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology on April 10th, 2019. This population-based study of women with these cancers showed that 8% to 15% had prevalence of actionable pathogenic variants. Genetic testing gaps and disparities among these women are targets for improvement.
